Avin Fathulla, Ömer Pekin, Nikola Znaor and Lukas Wulz, 2017

As the Center for Meteorological Studies moves to a new science campus (Borongaj) with many academic departments in the north of the city zagreb, it asks for a facility that covers the needs of progressive scientific thinking and researching. A way of research that incorporates the nature in an working environment. We proposed a frame that triggers the future urbanistic developments of the site. The ecological aspect of our structure lies within the compact way of building and the effective use of paths in the building. through autonomous use of air-windows, the democratic regulation of climatic room services is ensured. The building as a whole saves energy with a automatic day and night cooling and soil heat pumps that generate the heating for the building.
